Tess Holliday gets contract with MiLK Model Management
Is it too small and too thick for modeling? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Plus-size model Tess Holliday has now been signed to a major agency and has been modeling for Vogue.
For many years, Tess Holliday kept hearing the same answers over and over again, explaining to others that she was a big wish to become a model. She was told that she was not only too fat, but too small to be able to fulfill that dream. A person faced with such large obstacles would probably expect most to give up. Now it turns out that the 29-year-old mother made the right decision. In the last week, the big English model agency MiLK Model Management announced that they would sign Tess Holliday as their first plus-size model with their measurements. Anna Shillinglaw, the director and owner of MiLK Model Management became aware of Tess when she saw her Instagram account for the first time. Above all, it was the large number of followers - 320, 000 - who kept Shillinglaw pausing. On Facebook, Tess Holliday even has over 629, 000 likes.
In recent years, Tess Holliday has built a large fan base, modeled for various fashion designers and was also photographed for Italian Vogue, among others. Now the 29-year-old plus-size model is under contract to the same agency as Candice Huffine, who has already been photographed for the Pirelli calendar, among other things.
For Tess Holliday, this is another great achievement proving that beauty has absolutely nothing to do with weight. With a height of just under 1.65 meters, the pretty mother wears a size 52. For comparison: colleague Candice Huffine wears size 42. Tess Holliday is considered with her dimensions as the hitherto roundest plus-size model in her industry - and can hardly do it herself believe it.
Regarding NY Daily News, Holliday said, "It does not feel like it's me, every time my career takes a big leap feels like an out-of-body experience, I'm still somehow the 13-year-old Mississippi girl who people said she was not good enough, I never imagined I'd be here. "
Tess Holliday has a lot of success in her critics today. The only thing left to do is to wish the plus size model the same thing.
