Moschino Pre Fall 2015? Nope, let it be good

Why we expected more from Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott has created some whirlwinds and lots of trends with his Moschino collections. Junk Food, Sponge Bob, Barbie? Yes, please! We were expecting a new hit - and were unfortunately disappointed by the looks for Pre Fall 2015.

Jeremy Scott proved with all his Moschino collections : Fashion can and should be fun and the trend dictation does not always have to be taken seriously. The fast food collection? Excellent! Sponge Bob Clothes? How funny! The Barbie looks? At least over the oversized mobile phone cases, we were pleased. And about the discussions which humoristic topic his next and meanwhile fourth collection will wear. Maybe the Simpsons as a style role model, crudely red Coco-Cola dresses or a few dollar bills prints? Definitely something from American pop culture. Elvis? Michael Jackson? Or something completely new? Surprise us, Moschino! But when we were able to take a look at the look book of the new Pre Fall 2015 collection today, we were (sorry) a bit disappointed.

As the theme of the Pre Fall 2015 collection, Jeremy Scott presents the creation process of a garment as a final product. Means: tape measure details, washing instructions prints, scissors accessories, hangers, iron or pattern prints. Even a dress that looks like a giant pick-up slip in the dry cleaning is there. Already diverse, but somehow too obvious, too flat, too little Moschino.

Whether these tailor-outfits again become a street style hit? Sure, because they are eye-catching, extravagant and are sure to look good on photos. But we say: Dear Jeremy Scott, we've just been so fond of your new looks, but next time please do something more awesome, okay?
