Attention easy to clean

Succulents look like little works of art and are very trendy. We have some DIY decoration ideas for these exotic plants.

Succulents are not grouped together, they belong to many different plant families.

Plants with water-storing tissue are called succulents. These plants usually grow in areas with little or annual periodic rainfall. The succulents have an internal water reservoir to survive longer periods of drought.

Succulent plants tolerate a longer drought better than other plants. But you should not overburden the sufficiency of the succulents. Even succulents die in too few or too sparing watering just like other plants, but not quite so fast.

Tip: Succulents need plenty of water during the growth phase. In the rest period, however, they only need so much that the earth does not dry out completely.

This is what you need for the succulent wreath:

  • Floral foam wreath for fresh flowers, diam. approx. 30 cm approx.
  • 2 bunch pine
  • floral wire
  • about 13 different succulents in the pot
  • about 2 pots barbed wire plant
  • skewer
  • Patenthaft (U-shaped wire staples)
  • 4 pillar candles
  • Bowl of water
  • secateurs

It's that easy:

1. Slowly soak up the foam skirt with water.

2. Use the rose scissors to cut off the tips / needle bundles of the pine. Then, with the help of wire, tie them inside and outside the wreath.

3. Remove the succulents and barbed plants from the pots and free from the soil. The barbed wire plants may be divided into smaller "tufts".

4. Put the plants one after the other with the root in the garland. Possibly. pre-drill the holes with a skewer and fix the succulents with patented ones.

5. If gaps exist, fill them with barbed wire plant and / or pine.

6. Occasionally moisten the wreath with water.

7. Put candles in the middle.
