JOY: You owe "Twilight" your big breakthrough. For four years and five films, the saga determined your life - even your friend Kristen Stewart got to know you on the set. How did you feel on the last day of "Breaking Dawn 2"?

Robert Pattinson: The last shootings took place in Vancouver and demanded a lot from us all. It was raining constantly, was very cold and we filmed for weeks only at night. In addition, we both "Breaking Dawn" parts turned directly behind each other. In the end, I just felt miserable - that made my farewell to the entire crew a little easier, because I was just glad we finally made it.

With whom from the "Twilight" crew will you stay in touch?

Hopefully with as many as possible. They are among my best and oldest friends in L.A. When I moved here, I did not know anyone except the waiters at my patron's cafe (laughs). Friendships among actors are difficult to maintain because everyone is shooting somewhere else in the world.

She and Kristen Stewart fell in love with each other in 2008, right when filming the first movie. Is it an advantage or a disadvantage to work with a person who is also very close to you personally?

In my experience, chemistry in the workplace is generally more relaxed, even if you know and like yourself privately. It helped me to better implement my role.

Has Kristen changed in the last four years?

Of course she got a bit older (laughs), but otherwise the same. Your image has changed a bit. In the press she used to be extremely shy, but she was always very confident in her private life - she is a real little daredevil! Right on the first day of shooting, she was on the point of getting involved with the director and the producers. At that time she was only 18, but always took her opinion - and fought for it. What is new is that she is now interested in fashion. Previously, she would not have enjoyed herself at the Paris Fashion Week and now she really wants to sit in the front row.

In "Breaking Dawn 2" you get offspring. Did you feel comfortable in the father role?

Very much, because Mackenzie Foy, who plays our daughter Renesmee, is a real treasure. She immediately wrapped me up with her big doe eyes (laughs). But we had to pull ourselves together on the set because she was only eleven when shooting and the entire crew was constantly cursing. At some point, we put up a dirty word box and anyone who used the F-word or cursed badly, had to throw in money. We donated the proceeds to a children's hospital - and a lot came together (laughs)!

Would you like to have children?

Yes, absolutely - someday. The bad thing is that the expectations of me are so incredibly high and I can only lose it (laughs). For four years, I played a character who is unparalleled romantic and understanding, and now I also mime the overprotective daddy. If your parade movie role is so positively populated, you'll be expected to do so in real life as well. Actors, who are always just bad guys, fall in private rather pleasant times. Luckily, I am naturally very romantic and sensitive. But that's not always an advantage (laughs).

How can that be a disadvantage?

I cry very easily, and I cry a lot ... In a relationship, I'm actually like a girl (laughs).

Have you ever been unhappy in love?

Oh yeah! At the age of 20, I immortally fell in love with a girl I met while skiing. Unfortunately, our contact was limited to three short conversations, but I was blown away, unfortunately I never saw her again.

What has been your biggest disappointment so far?

At the age of 17 I had a great part at a theater in London, but I was fired during rehearsals. At that time, I was too inexperienced to understand unwritten laws. The whole ensemble always met at a certain time, but then they all sat around 45 minutes drinking tea. Everyone was friends with each other, only I did not know any. That's why I thought to myself: I just come 40 minutes later each time, so as not to sit around stupidly. With that I obviously broke an important English tradition.

Do you actually do sports?

No, do not you see that (laughs) ?! Only for topless scenes I torture myself. My "vampire brothers" train like crazy - and I was funny enough the only one who has never gotten a strain in the fight scenes (laughs).
