Colorful overcoat

Hyacinths ring in the spring. These beautiful flower pots emphasize the beautiful colors of the flowers. Here are the instructions.

What you need for the felt planters:

  • Felt in pink, blue and gray
  • Ribbon in pink
  • Craft wire in silver
  • Ruler / tape measure
  • French chalk
  • fabric scissors
  • pins
  • Sewing machine with matching yarn

And that's how easy it is:

Instructions for the planters:

1. Cut two strips of 11 x 8 cm felt and a 18 x 11 cm strip.

2. Place the two small pieces in the middle of both outer edges of the long piece and fix them with pins.

3. Sew all side edges together so that the seam is facing outward.

4. If necessary, wrap the hyacinth pot with foil and place in the felt pot.

Instructions for the springs:

1. Use a tailor's chalk to draw feathers of different sizes on felt.

2. Cut springs.

3. Stitch each feather longitudinally once with the sewing machine.

4. Tie a loop around the hyacinth bulb.

5. Take two felt springs together, wrap the ends with wire and tie to the loop.
