About his Scientology critical film "Until Nothing Remains" (ARD, March 31, 8:15 pm), in which he plays a desperate father. Mr. Klare, in "Until Nothing Remains" you play a former member of Scientology. How did you approach the topic?
"The preparation phase was very intense. We talked to several dropouts. Everything that can be seen in the movie really happened - mostly even more extreme. The film shows very clearly what makes Scientology out of people. And that's scary: whoever slips into Scientology loses his money, his job, his individuality. Everything."
Does that actually have anything to do with church or faith?
"No not at all. It really is not that they may call themselves church. But they do not have to pay taxes, at least in the United States, so they save money. And that's what Scientology is all about. For money and power. "
In the movie you are a father - in real life too. What is it like to come home after shooting?
"It always takes a while for me to be Daddy again when I've been away for a while. I have to come back home. However, I was the first year and a half after the birth of my son Jason at home. That welds a lot together. "
When you are at home - what do you most like to do with the children?
"I love to read to the two. Astrid Lindgren up and down. 'Ronja robber's daughter' for example. That's so nice - you feel transported back to your childhood! I asked my son how he imagines the characters at 'Ronja'. There were really great things out! That's a lot better than getting everything pretended in the movie. "
Is there no TV in your home?
"Yes exactly. Among other things, certainly for that reason. "
You are traveling a lot, your family lives in Munich. How does it work?
"We talk on the phone every day, that's very important, I'm in Baden-Baden with the crime scene - not in Stuttgart, as many think - because that's where the station is." Do you have an apartment there?

How long have you been busy there with the "crime scene"?
"We have two episodes a year, a shooting time is 4 to 5 weeks, of which I'm there for about three weeks, but in between I'm sure I'll go home two or three times."
How did "crime scene" change your life?
"I get talked about once in a while, which is very strange, because I always get the impression that people think they know me, so I'm already in the drawer, so I always want to say no, me But I am very different, so it is important for me to play something different on TV, I have been doing it for 10 years, I have played everything up and down in the theater, but in public perception I am just now the policeman.
