Brilliant white, shimmering precious metal and a touch of dramatic violet: when, if not on Christmas Eve, can you indulge in glamorous table decoration?
Gold, gold and even more gold: platters, cutlery and even the accessories shine in the precious metal color. So that your table does not overload, but just looks sensational, all golden parts should have a reduced shape and matte surfaces. On the other hand, white plates and glasses may be more opulent. Funny highlight: the napkin draped to the fly.

Granted, you do not have everything at home for the extravagant decoration in gold . That is not a problem! The dishes for a splendid table can be designed quickly and cheaply. Simply plain white crockery that you no longer use (or buy inexpensively), decorate with a gold strip of different widths. To do this, mask off the spots that should remain white with the paint crepe, paint the vessels and let them dry well. For a lasting decor use porcelain paint (eg "MarabuPorcelain" metallic-gold, approx. 3 €, Marabu) - which is dishwasher safe.

You are looking for a slightly different Advent wreath this year? We have an idea: fine, gold shimmering specimens of gypsophila, in (not on) which the candles are. On Christmas Eve, the otherwise restrained gold rings will blossom with the help of eucalyptus leaves and Eucharis flowers.
