Vaccinate or not vaccinate? This study is nonsense

More than 10 years all believe in a study that rates vaccination as risky. The researcher had only come up with the results

His study had serious consequences for all of us. In 1998, the doctor Andrew Wakefield published a study in a journal with the conclusion: vaccination promotes autism!

This message was water on the mills of the vaccine opponents. So far , the discussion keeps on whether vaccination really makes sense or is so dangerous that you prefer to. With dramatic consequences, because the fewer people can be vaccinated, the more spread infectious diseases, even if they would have been completely avoidable. Last observed in the measles epidemic in Berlin earlier this year. At the moment, diphtheria suddenly appears again in Spain because a 6 year old boy was not vaccinated - after 30 years the first case!

The basis for such decisions of the vaccination opponents: extremely questionable. Andrew Wakefield's claim that vaccination promotes autism is simply wrong. The trade magazine has withdrawn the study. W akefield had made his conclusion rather than scientifically proven. Just 12 cases were part of the study, there was no control group as usual. Instead of medical examinations, the doctor relied on descriptions of the parents. His conclusion that the changes in the brain of the 12 children with a combined vaccine are related, was simply advised and is not evidenced evident. The New York Times also revealed that parts of the Wakefield study were paid for by lawyers and parents who processed for vaccines against pharmaceutical companies.

Meanwhile, there are several studies that prove: There is no demonstrable link between vaccinations and autism.
