Now he returns with the brilliant thriller "Prisoners" back. His role as an ambitious policeman Loki, who hunts the kidnapper of two little girls, got under the skin of the 1.83-meter-tall American.

During the shoot, he constantly had to think of his nieces Ramona (7) and Gloria (18 months) and his goddaughter Matilda (7), the daughter of the late Heath Ledger. "I kept seeing their faces, " he says. "I would do anything for them." Because of them, the Sagittarius man moved from L.A. to New York, where all three live.
Jake Gyllenhaal is a family man
"I am a family man, " he admits. And a fitness fanatic. "Workouts keep my body and mind healthy, " he explains. That's why he goes to the gym every day, for a few months, preferably in the company of the "Sports Illustrated" model Alyssa Miller. He had met them while training, the two fell in love and are now considered one of the fittest pairs of Hollywood.
