A little boy sees a veiled woman for the first time
The world would be a much better place if you saw them through the eyes of a child. In a supermarket in the US state of Georgia, a small child first saw a veiled woman and was fascinated by her.
If you wear a headscarf, it's usually not easy, because racist insults are all too often on the agenda. But on that day, a Muslim woman in the US experienced everyday racism from a completely different angle. In a supermarket, she met a little boy who saw a veiled woman for the first time.
The son of Muslima writes later on Facebook: "The little boy was barely older than 4 years. He kept staring at my mother all the time. He stared wide-eyed. "
The woman herself did not think much of it, since she was used to much worse things. But the story did not seem to end the way you would expect. Because at the very end, when the little boy and his mother stood at the cash register directly behind the Muslim woman, the boy leaned forward and whispered: "I love you, Batman!"
What a cute reaction. There is no racism in the children's world and history will certainly be remembered by all concerned.
