HALSWEH: SOILY DISINFECTING THE VICTIMS WITH OIL TREATS AND SAGE
I suffer from sore throat almost all winter time. What can I do against it? Ingrid D. (51), Meschede
Reply from Dr. Bracht: Mostly, sore throat are just harmless harbingers of a cold. There is a good way to expel bacteria that can be responsible for the sore throat. The method is called "oil pulling": Rinse your mouth with sunflower oil every morning for five minutes. Slowly stir a tablespoon of the cold pressed oil in the mouth and squeeze between the teeth. Then spit it out and brush your teeth thoroughly. This reduces the difficulty swallowing and soothes hoarseness and sore throat .
Another additional side effect of oil pulling is that hardly any tartar forms on your teeth and gum inflammation (periodontitis) improves. You can also gargle with sage tea daily: Add two teaspoons of the dried herbs (pharmacy) with a beaker of water, cool and gargle with two sips for twenty seconds. Good are mouthwashes with salt water. If a sore throat becomes chronic and does not disappear, you should always go to the doctor and have a look. Then, for example, a chronic gastritis or even a chronic inflammation of the esophagus behind it. Such inflammations weaken your entire immune system. That makes you more susceptible to diseases.
CIRCULATION: IS REALLY INSPIRING?
Reply from Dr. Bracht : Although sparkling wine initially, but usually follows after half an hour, a new sense of weakness. Alcohol expands the blood vessels, making blood pressure even lower. Much more sensible is to carry out every morning consistently dry brush massages on the entire body and make showers.
