Even more emotional than the Edeka spot
Emotional commercials that have touched us, there have been many lately, but the short film by two German Filstudenten has really moved us to tears.
The two German film students Daniel Titz and Dorian Lebherz have shot the probably most emotional commercial of the year and that, even though this was not even commissioned by the advertised whiskey brand "Johnnie Walker". The semester work of the two students and is already considered the best "Johnnie Walker" advertising of all time and puts the acclaimed "homecoming" advertising of Edeka and thus also creatives of Jung von Matt, Germany's advertising company No. 1 in the shade,
Two brothers walk through the rocky and misty landscape of the Scottish Isle of Skye. Melancholic background music, interrupted again and again by the heavy voice of one brother who insists: "Stay by my side, guide me so that I can be free."
Side by side, they wander the paths of their youth. Finally they arrive at a burnt house ruin. Together they roam through their old home. "We were immortal and our ways forever connected." Then the brothers sit together in the corner and drink a "Johnnie Walker", the younger one leans his head on the shoulder of the elder.
A little later, they stand together on a cliff, the brother has a package under his arm, unpacks the heavy jute - he holds an urn in his arms. "If your heart is so heavy, go on, do not stop, and promise me you'll never forget me." And suddenly the younger boy disappears and the elder scatters his brother's ashes in the wind. "In your heart I will live forever and I will always be by your side, because in your memory I am free."
