The opinion on the current Instagram photo of Victoria Beckham gape far apart. Does this kiss go too far?
What can be wrong with a kiss between a mother and her daughter? Obviously a lot when it comes to the comments on Victoria Beckham's latest photo on Instagram. Because there the designer posted a kiss - on the lips - between her and daughter Harper (5).
"That's disgusting, " writes a user. "One should not kiss his child on the lips, " someone else writes. Hmmm, but is that really so? What exactly is wrong with kissing his 5 year old daughter as a mother on the mouth? And should not we all step on the brakes if we criticize other mothers (whether celebrities or not) in dealing with their children?

For the birthday of little Harper, the ex-Spice-Girl posts the photo of her and her daughter in the pool. There she wrote: "Happy Birthday baby girl" . A kiss between mother and daughter. Why not? But many see it differently. At first glance, the photo looks much too sexualized. And anyway, a kiss between parents and children on the mouth is completely wrong.
Yet every mother knows that flabby child kisses - even on the lips - are part of being a mum. Not every kiss ends up where it should. And many of them on the mouth too. Should this be stopped as a parent immediately? Is that too intimate and somehow wrong? Hard to say because people are different. What may go too far for many parents is a sign of love and strong cohesion among other parents.
Relationships between children and parents are different. Some kiss on the mouth. The others are not. However, to sexualize this and push it into a grubby corner is not justified. By the way many mothers see it and support Victoria Beckham. "The fact that many now sexualize this photo of a kissing mother is disgusting, " writes a mother.
Whether Victoria Beckham will show her intimate relationship with Harper again on Instagram is questionable. Because who gets so much malice for a really happy photo, then keeps his maternal love then soon perhaps for themselves. Maybe that's just fine.
