Mother warns of skin cancer

She does not want to pity her with this photo, she wants to warn people. The young mother has skin cancer.

One day he was just there: the dark spot under his thumbnail. Is that a bruise? Melanie Williams can not remember touching her finger. However, as a mother of three children, this can happen all too easily, so Melanie waits. But the stain remains.

With the suspicion of a wart or a troublesome fungal infection, the young mother decides to go to a doctor. Your decision comes just in time: Melanie is suffering from skin cancer . The dark change is a melanoma that was fortunately discovered early enough. The cancer has not spread yet.

" Can you see that on my thumb? Do you know what that is? It is skin cancer . It grew out of nowhere within weeks. I thought it was just a fungal infection or wart. Unfortunately, no. I was lucky, the cancer has not spread and will be removed next week with half of my thumb. That would not be the case if I had not had it examined. I do not want your sympathy, I want your attention.

Therefore, please go to the doctor and let examine any changes or excesses on your skin, please also advise others. Please do not miss the opportunity or seek apologies! I'll be fit again soon, but if I'd let it go I might have lost more than a thumb.

Please do not comment on how brave I am or how much you are sorry, instead take the time to share this or tell someone about it or call a doctor yourself ... Ps: If anyone knows where I have a mini-hook for my stubby thumb, tell me! "

See that on my thumb? Do you know what it is? Its skin cancer. This grew from nothing in a matter of weeks. I thought it ...

The photo has been shared more than 100, 000 times - and Melanie's desire to warn people against skin cancer is fulfilled. The mother is impressed by the attention and continues to show humorous: "If I had known how often it is shared, I would have applied at least a little make-up!"

When you notice a change in your body, it quickly puts you in fear. But as soon as we have something else in mind, it is as soon repressed as it came. The doctor's appointment is pushed from tomorrow to next week and the care pushed away from us. But ultimately, it's your own health that counts. Because in cases like this, a doctor's visit can give us much more time than we think through the office visit.
