What the skin needs

Oily skin is often considered a problem of puberty. The skin type also occurs more frequently in adults. The episode can be not only a shiny film in the face, but also forming pimples and blackheads. Therefore, the right care is important to improve the appearance of the skin.

Trigger for oily skin on the face and its consequence

The reasons for oily skin can be changed habits, certain environmental influences or stress. The main cause of skin gloss, however, is usually a hereditary predisposition that causes the sebaceous glands to produce too much fat. This circumstance leads not only to a shimmering film in the face, but also to impure skin. Because the epidermis cells in this skin type are often designed so that a drain of the excess sebum is not possible, namely clog the pores. The result is pimples or blackheads, and the tiny orifices gradually erode over time.

Thoroughly clean the face

In order to avoid oily skin on the face, appropriate care is necessary. Clean your face thoroughly in the morning and evening with lukewarm water. Use only mild washing gel that does not attack the natural acid mantle of your skin or that has a moisturizing effect. Also, avoid heavy rubbing or scratching, as this stimulates the sebaceous glands only for additional fat production. Then apply Clarifying Toning Toner to a cotton pad and dab your face with it. Products with alcohol, zinc, betaine or triclosan are particularly good because of their disinfecting effect and also make your pores contract. To keep the tiny openings clean, you should also apply a gentle exfoliation once a week.

Use suitable care products

Oily skin needs a lot of moisture, which you should use with moisturizing care products. It is best to use non-greasy gels or gel creams, which are optionally available with matting ingredients to delay skin gloss. In addition, it is recommended during the care to apply clearing masks once or twice a week to counteract oily skin. Products with white clay or healing clay are particularly suitable for normalizing excess sebum production. If, on the other hand, pimples have already formed, you can use a light, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial anti-acne cream to normalize your skin condition.
