The great actor fell asleep peacefully

His life was filled with bitter grief, but death was now gentle and compassionate: Eddie Arent, a cranky butler in Edgar Wallace films and a sketch partner of Harald Juhnke († 75), fell asleep peacefully on May 28. He was 88 years old. And the most comforting thing about it: in heaven he is reunited with his beloved wife.

"The last two years without his Franziska were bad for him, " says Christos Tses (50), a close friend of Eddi Arent. "He loved her very much ..." No one would have believed that Franziska Arent († 76), ten years younger than her husband, could die before him. For many years she cared for him, as he grew weaker and sadder. Eddi Arent had never wound that the little Black Forest hotel he ran with his wife went bankrupt.

2011 then the tragedy: Franziska got colon cancer, soon succumbed to her suffering. The loss of his wife put Eddi Arent to tremendous. He was happily married to her for over 50 years, and now he remained ill and alone. Marius (42), the couple's only son, brought his father to Munich, to a nursing home near him.

Christos Tses: "Marius had a very close relationship with both parents and, of course, after the death of his mother, took great care of his father." Incidentally, this was not dementia, as it was often called, but clear in the mind except for an age-related forgetfulness. Christos Tses: "Before he died, he told his son: 'When the time comes, my urn should be buried in your mother's grave. Only then will you inform the public! '"That's how it happened.
