Upcycling: Old curtain rod becomes a wall shelf

Photo: deco & style

From old to new

Where to go with the old curtain rod? Not on the bulky waste! We have a simple DIY idea how you can make a pretty wall shelf for the bathroom.

What you need for the wall shelf:

  • Two cornices, each 120 cm long
  • Birch branches, 50 cm long
  • Wire (craft shop)
  • side cutter
  • Screws and dowels
  • spirit level
  • drilling machine

And that's how easy it is:

1. Fix the curtain rods parallel, vertically to the wall. Keep a distance of 40 cm.

2. Lay the branches horizontally and tie the ends firmly to the curtain rods with wire.
