Cheats convicted by video surveillance

For two years, Alan Knight pretended to be paralyzed. At times he even pretended that he was in a coma. Now his bold act flew open.

Why does a man pretend to be in a coma? The answer to this question is at least as crazy as the play that Alan Knight from Wales staged for over two years together with his wife Helen Knight . Because the man pretended to be critically ill to escape a lawsuit.

Previously, Alan Knight had cheated his bona fide and Alzheimer's neighbor by over 41, 000 pounds (about 52, 000 euros). Within three years, Knight brought his neighbor Ivor Richards for his retirement savings. With the help of his money, he went on holiday with his family and got himself a new caravan.

Finally, the police came to him. However, Alan Knight repeatedly withdrew from court hearings in which he not only pretended to be paraplegic, but at times pretended to be in a coma . For two years, Alan Knight was able to escape his legal punishment.

But there were frequent reports of neighbors claiming to have seen Knight completely well on his property. His attending physicians at the hospital also reported seeing their patients move normally.

The final proof that the cheater was feigning his illnesses was ultimately provided by various surveillance shots of a supermarket, which can be seen in the video below. Alan Knight made the mistake of shopping with his wife in a supermarket several kilometers away - completely healthy and without a wheelchair.

The court could convict him like this. In the end, Alan confessed his act. He now has to expect a prison sentence for theft and document forgery.
