Full time teacher, in leisure time cake artist

Unusually, but possible: The 28-year-old Stefanie Noé is a chemist, but turns in her spare time into a professional hobby baker. She has revealed everything to us about her passion for creative cakes.

It all began during a semester abroad in Scotland in 2009, which Stefanie Noé did as part of her chemistry studies. There, the now 28-year-old woman from Rhineland-Pflaz discovered a small motif cake shop. A Louis Vuitton suitcase cake caught the eye of Stefanie. She also wanted to be able to bake such great cakes.

Thought, done. Since 2011 Stefanie herself is an enthusiastic hobby cake baker. First, the young woman taught herself everything. "In the meantime, I also completed internships in pastry shops and attended seminars, " she explains. "But most of the time, I still try to acquire new techniques myself."

Not easy. Because motif cakes are actually just a hobby of Stefanie Noé. Full-time, she works as a trainee teacher and teaches chemistry and physics. After her chemistry diploma, Stefanie is now working on her doctorate. But her passion for baking is always an integral part of her everyday life. Stefanie has been giving courses on pies and cake decoration for the past year.

This cake is very important to Stefanie: She created the cooking pot motif for her grandma's 91st birthday. Many recipes that Stefanie uses come from her grandmother.

How the young woman does it all? Passion and fun are her motors that drive her every day. "I do not see my sideline as a burden, but I can relax incredibly well while modeling, " says Stefanie.

The big dream of owning a café

Three words describe a great wish from Stefanie Noé: "Passionate, delicious and purple!" These are the terms that outline the little café that the chemist, who has a degree in chemistry, dreams of. "My dream cafe is small and cozy, it should be filled with the smell of fresh baked goods and the laughter of the people, " said the Palatine. After her teacher examination, she would like to undertake appropriate training in order to be able to practice her hobby in a very professional manner.

Our editorial favorite: The bee Maja motif cake made of biscuit dough and a strawberry yoghurt cream. Mhhh delicious!

Stefanie's goal is to make a living at some point with her passion for pie baking. Until then, however, she will continue to try to reconcile both activities. Respect! We are definitely keeping our fingers crossed and certainly would not say 'no' to an invitation to Café Noé.

Are you as enthusiastic about the story of Stefanie as we are? Then it's worth taking a look at her blog Crazy BackNoé. There are also many more pictures of beautiful, creative pies and hints to the next courses.
