The story of the Rainbow Loom Bands
It all started four years ago, when American engineer Cheong Choon Ng watched his daughters braid filigree ribbons with household rubber bands and hair ties. The 45-year-old was so enthusiastic that he took his savings in the hand and developed with the whole family a weaving frame in which emerged with the help of a sprite, colorful bracelets. He filmed his daughters at the craft and put these videos on the Internet.
DIY pulls in the net
An ingenious move, because all wanted to weave the small colorful bangles and chains themselves - even small animals can currently be designed with the rubber bands. The Rainbow Loom bands were born! Meanwhile, the trend has arrived in our children's rooms, since this year there is the starter set (from about 17 euros) to buy in Germany.
