The film has its first fashion star
Sofia Coppola is planning a remake of Arielle, the little mermaid. While everyone is wondering if Emma Watson is back in the lead role, the first cast member is now set: Model Andrej Pejic.
When it became known that fashion darling Sofia Coppola, the creator of iconic films such as "The Virgin Suicides, " "Somewhere, " or "Marie Antoinette, " was planning a remake of "Ariel, the Little Mermaid, " we knew something great expected. The coolest it-girls under water, actors with mermaid fin, pop culture meets fairytale classics - we can not wait!
The first rumors revolved around Emma Watson as Arielle. She has starred in Coppola's "The Bling Ring". But nothing is confirmed yet.
According to IMDB, androgynous model Andrej Pejic is cast member. His role: Sister # 4, so one of Arielle's pretty siblings. For Andrej Pejic, it's not the first actor's act: he has been to a David Bowie clip and a Turkish TV series.
Also for Sofia Coppola, it is not the first high-fashion model that is allowed in front of the camera for her. So Erin Wasson, Maryna Linchuk and Angela Lindvall made a brief appearance in "Somewhere". We keep our fingers crossed that even for Arielle a lot of catwalk stars dare to jump into the cool film wet.
