Eva Herman (53) is broke! The once successful journalist was in business: Eva Herman worked for the NDR for 18 years, was a popular newsreader and presenter of her own show "Herman & Tietjen". She earned well and had a life that many can only dream of.
Then she put a leg to herself. With her book "The Eve Principle" she sparked heated discussions about the role of women. She was even said to have right thought. Main point of criticism: the woman as a crickets at the stove as an ideal - a life that Eva Herman never lived.
Now she has plenty of time for that, her critics will scoff. Because Eva Herman confirmed to BILD her personal bankruptcy . The much-desired presenter is broke. According to her insolvency administrator, she is said to have had no regular income for five years. Do the offers stay off because they have ruined their reputation with questionable comments?
But a revelation does not only affect one, but always the family as well. And Eva Herman has a 15-year-old son who has to learn all too soon what it's like to be in debt. Eva Hermans husband Michael Bischoff meanwhile earns the living. She herself may only take about 1, 400 euros.
There are certainly worse. But those who are used to earning well will find it hard to change. Eva Herman also has to learn to keep house - like a real housewife .
Debt to the debt misery should be real estate transactions in East Germany. She should have invested half a million. For years, the business was doing well - because Eva Herman always has enough financial resources. But they broke away.
So now the personal bankruptcy. However, Eva Herman wants to fight through it herself. It is said to have requested neither state aid nor a residual debt exemption. Maybe she wants to prove herself: that she can do it again - to the top of the TV throne.
