DIY tips: Autumn decoration in pastel

Bright and modern

Autumn decoration does not always have to be dark. Here we present five beautiful deco tips in pastel.

You need this for the big autumn leaves:

  • Blockboard (8 mm, ca. 70 x 100 cm, hardware store)

  • Silver leaf (25 sheets, craft shop, 12, 99 Euro)

It's that easy:

1. Draw the leaf shapes on a blockboard and cut with the jigsaw.

2. Break the edges with sandpaper.

3. Screw the three small plates onto the larger leaf shape as a shelf from the back. Prime with green paint and let dry.

4. Apply the laying milk to the leaf with the brush and allow to set (about 15 min.).

5. Carefully place the silver leaf on the sheet and smooth it with a flat, soft brush.

6. Gradually fill the area of ​​the leaf with silver leaf.

7. Remove excess with the clean brush.

8. Leave to dry and then polish with cotton if necessary.

9. Place tealights on the shelves.

You need the paper cut-out sheets:

  • Cardboard in DIN A1 (1x gray, 1x light green, 2x white, over Boesner)
  • Cardboard DIN A4 (ocher, idea)
  • Cutter with cutting pad

  • Letters (craft shop)
  • inkpad
  • ruler
  • pencil

It's that easy:

1. Draw the central axis on the DIN A2 cardboard in longitudinal format with a pencil.

2. Leave 10 cm above and below the edge. At the bottom, plan a little more space for the writing and draw lines in pencil as well.

3. Record the shape of a sheet with a pencil and cut it with a cutter, but only so far to the center line that the paper is not completely cut out.

4. Stamp the tree name in German and / or in Latin under the motif with stamps.

5. Glue a white DIN A2 sheet with double-sided adhesive tape against the sheet from behind.

6. Remove the glass from the picture frame, place the paper cut in the frame and fix it.

7. Bend the cut surfaces forward to create a 3D effect.

8. Cut the box to frame size and place in the frame.

9. Produce additional (even smaller) images as you like.

That's what you need for the pumpkin table decoration:

  • Pumpkins (pumpkins, ufo pumpkin, patisson squash / squash (Cucurbitapepovar patissonia), spaghetti squash, SnowDelight)

  • Straw silk in white (department store)
  • Adhesive strips (eg from tesa)
  • Fabric in mustard yellow
  • Deco ribbon in silver-white (department store)
  • Leather in pale blue
  • Cutter with cutting pad
  • small branch (mini-aster)
  • scissors
  • pencil

It's that easy:

1. Turn the gift into gray cardboard.

2. Cut a 15 cm wide strip of straw silk and wrap it around the present. Secure with adhesive tape on the back.

3. Lay a 10 cm wide strip of fabric over the straw silk and also fix it on the back.

4. Wrap the deco tape asymmetrically twice around the middle of the gift over the strips and knot it sideways at the front.

5. Cut out a 14 cm sheet from the leather with the cloth scissors (possibly use a sheet as a template).

6. Mark the name in pencil on the middle of the sheet and cut it out with the cutter.

7. Slide the sheet under the deco tape and complete with a small sprig.

What you need for the stones with mushroom motives:

  • Stones (deco shop)
  • Spray paint in white (MTN 94, color 94R-9010, White, 3, 70 Euro, mtn-shop.de)
  • Fine liner, (Staedtler, permanent, Lumocolor, black)
  • Paper for the work surface

It's that easy:

1. Lay the stones on paper. On the outside or in a well-ventilated room, spray on white from both sides and let it dry well.

2. Record mushroom motifs with a fine black pencil.
