The heartbreaker finally gets out

It's the end of a long (love) story: Heartthrob Hugh Grant officially announced his retirement from another Bridget Jones sequel. We are sad!

And yet we can understand the charming British: The back and forth to the continuation of the bestseller series Bridget Jones is somehow strange. In the book "Mad about the Boy", which appeared last year, the 50-year-old Bridget Jones is now a widow (!) And again on the hunt for the right man. The film version, however, looks very different: Both the restrained Mr. Darcy, played by Colin Firth, and Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) should vie for Bridget's love again.

That will not happen now. In a radio interview, Hugh Grant said, "I think they'll do it without Daniel, the template is great, by the way, but the script is very different - at least what I saw a few years ago ..." The Sequel "Bridget Jones' Baby " seems to be about Bridget's baby wish in her 40s.

Already in 2012 there were rumors about a possible exit Grant from Bridget Jones 3 - but then was denied. What the future of the film looks like now is unclear. But we really do not want a sequel without the charming Hugh ...
