Instructions for a kitchen apron

You can easily sew this kitchen apron yourself.

How convenient!

Anyone can use a kitchen apron: you can sew this colorful all-round talent for yourself or someone else.

What you need for the kitchen apron:

  • Fabric Requirement: 35 x 65 cm Japanese Irises Item No. PWSL021 - SORBE, 22 x110 cm Hiroshige Item No. PWSL024- SORBE, 10 x 20 cm Jasmine Item No. PWSL019-SORBE, 70 X 110 cm Unistoff Art. No. CSFSESS - CHONA All data are inclusive of seam allowance
  • Fabric cut : Japanese Irises: 1 x top and large bag Hiroshige: 1 x ruffle Jasmine: 1 x narrow bag Plain: 1 x bottom
  • Additional material: Other: 70 cm yellow satin ribbon 3 cm wide, 120 cm yellow satin ribbon 1 cm wide, Coats Cotton sewing thread in brown and yellow, pins, matching Coats Cotton sewing thread, scissors, measuring tape, ruler, possibly paper for editing and pencil

And that's how easy it is:

1. Sew the upper part to the lower part. Place the narrow satin ribbon over this seam, pin and sew on.

2. Knock in the upper edge of the top twice 2 cm, iron and stitch up 1.8 cm wide. Cut off 58 cm from the wide satin ribbon and attach the ends to the corners of the top.

3. Press the side edges of the apron twice 1 cm, iron, pin and stitch 7 mm wide. Sew on the satin ribbon for the lace, halve and fasten the remaining wide satin ribbon.

4. Knock the ruffle on the short and long sides twice 1 cm, iron, pin and stitch 7 mm wide. Then curl the open edge, passing a tear-resistant thread (approx. 110 cm in length) along the edge below a zigzag stitch. Use this thread to curl the edge to the desired length. Place the ruffle on the bottom, fasten it and sew it on. Place the narrow satin ribbon over this seam, pin and sew on.

5. Knock in the upper edge of the large pocket twice 2 cm, bow and stitch up to a width of 1.8 cm. Iron the remaining edges 1 cm to the back. Proceed in the same way with the narrow bag. Place narrow bag according to pattern and sew on and place big bag over it and sew on.

6. Finally, the apron in Formbüge.
