"Good Press" makes it possible: Queen Elizabeth II, 86 years old and 60 years on the throne, enjoys greater popularity in the UK than ever before. Their acceptance, according to the latest polls, has climbed to over 80 percent. This made Queen Elizabeth the second in a short time five percentage points good.
The reason for this may be that the royals in the UK have long delivered no negative headlines, but could shine with gratifying news.
William and Kate made a huge image boost last year with their wedding. And right now, Queen Elizabeth's many celebrations and activities around the 60th Anniversary are the second that astonishes the British with colorfulness and splendor every day.
Only yesterday there was again a rare spectacle in front of the Buckingham Palace. The guard in their high bearskin hats gave way to a red-uniformed guard with cowboy hats. They were Canadian policemen who had marched in honor of their queen and guaranteed their protection.
Canada is currently very popular with the Windsors. Charles and Camilla are still there on jubilee tour until today. In Canada they accept the second congratulations on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, while the jubilee is traveling through Britain with husband Philip .
