Room free for your clothes

If the children pull out, you can make a virtue out of necessity: Now you have room for your own dressing room! And so use it.

Picture above: nothing to wear? This feeling does not even come up now: Because this room is more than just a walk-in closet . Room-high wall units in the new dressing room provide an overview of the entire wardrobe. In addition to open surfaces on one side, sliding doors on the other delicate pieces offer protection against dust and light. Important: Before planning, make an inventory to find out what your need for drawers, clothes rails, and shelves is. Console, sofa, carpet and chandeliers alleviate the strictness of order with feminine charm. Light tip: Halogen spotlights and LEDs do not distort the colors.

LED strips provide the perfect illumination for your outfit. To find something in the wardrobe
can be quite tedious. Bars with LED lights (eg "Striberg" by Ikea) bring light into the darkness and can be easily retrofitted. Since they emit no heat, they are also suitable
ideal for closed cupboards. Tip: Provided with motion detectors, they automatically switch on when the door is opened.

Organization is everything in the dressing room

In three steps to the cupboard to measure

Precise planning is the prerequisite for a dressing room that is perfectly attuned to your needs. You should pay attention to this:

1. Division: A clear structure makes it easier to keep track. Therefore, assign clothes, shoes and accessories to their own, well-defined areas.

2. Space requirements: To make best use of the space, get an overview of your wardrobe in advance: For hanging clothes, a minimum depth of 60 cm is required, the compartment height should be about 100 cm, for coats 150 cm. Lying clothes come with a depth of 50 cm, a shoe rack with only 35 cm.

3. Size: A dressing room does not have to be big in order to function well: an individual solution is possible from just 14 square meters. The simplest would be about a mix of clothes racks and shelves behind panel curtains.
