Whether wood, stone, ceramic, WPC or synthetic fiber, every floor covering on the balcony or terrace needs care. What you have to pay attention to, we tell you.
Wood: As popular as wood is with everyone, here the ghosts are different: for some, the natural graying of wood first sets out its authentic charm; for others, fading is literally a horror. By regular cleaning and care with a special terrace oil with matching color pigments, the process can slow down. If the veil has already spread, a Holzentgrauer refreshes the color again. And conifers also require regular protection against fungal attack.
Stone & Ceramics: Before laying, you should inquire whether the stones, tiles or tiles of your choice have already been impregnated. If not, subsequent sealing is mandatory. The appropriate funds can be obtained from specialist retailers and DIY stores. For regular care warm soapy water and a scrubber to remove dirt and moss infestation. The high pressure washer should only be used with a special rotating brush attachment that minimizes pressure and prevents breakage.
WPC & synthetic fibers: WPC flooring - the composite material made of wood and plastic - requires little maintenance in order to remain beautiful in the long term. Regular sweeping is usually enough already, stronger dirt is removed with the help of a brush and soapy water. However, it is not recommended to use a high-pressure cleaner because the hard jet could wash out the wood fibers. Outdoor rugs are made of weatherproof plastic. For cleaning, it is recommended to spray with the garden hose or a gentle cycle in the machine.
