Father performs 'Blackbird' for son Lennon

On November 8, little Lennon was born in the 24th week of pregnancy. With the help of music father Chris Picco tries to give him strength.

Actually, the little Lennon James Picco was born in February 2015. But when his mother Ashley Picco died unexpectedly asleep on November 8, the doctors had no choice but to give birth to the baby by the 24th week of pregnancy.

After the death of his wife and his child's mother, Chris had to watch his little son fight for his life. The doctors and nurses at the Loma Linda University Hospital in California were very worried about Preemie Lennon from the beginning because he did not move much and showed little brain activity.

Since Ashley Picco told her husband during pregnancy that she felt Lennon reacting to music, Chris asked doctors if he could bring his guitar to the hospital. Hour after hour he sat by the incubator of his son and played him different songs. This resulted in the video below, in which Chris Picco plays the Beatles song 'Blackbird' for Lennon.

Just one day after Chris Picco recorded the moving video, his son Lennon died in his arms. The grieving father and husband wrote on the YouCaring page, where donations are collected for the hospital bills of the late Ashley and little Lennon:

"Dear family, dear friends, dear supporters, I write this with a heavy heart: My little fighter, Lennon James Picco, fell asleep in his father's arms last night, surrounded by his family, friends and the best doctors, He wore an outfit with little guitars Ashley had chosen for him and was wrapped in a blanket that came from a friend, and I'm grateful for the four memorable days I've spent was allowed to spend with him.
