Only for months nothing and now comes the winter and shows no mercy!
Do you have skates? Great, because with that you can slip to work at the end of the week. Yes, it will be smooth and not too little. Added to this are fresh snow and temperatures below freezing. Now the winter really warms us up.
On Wednesday, many regions are covered with snow. Actually nice, if there was not the smoothness. Especially the temperatures around the freezing point are particularly dangerous for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Freezing wetness makes the way to work or to the supermarket quickly a dangerous slide.
To the smoothness also come gale-force storms. The make the car or cycling then really agony. In southern Germany, the wind turns on first. Only the outer northwest is spared by the storm gusts. Partial storms can even lead to thunderstorms. During the Thursday the rain and sleet pulls to the northeast.
The lows are below the freezing point in many regions at the end of the week. The German Weather Service warns of smoothness and snowdrifts . Germany's coldest day of the week becomes Sunday. In southern Germany, temperatures are also in the minus range during the day.
