Your message must be heard

When a woman dresses only in underwear in the middle of the crowded Piccadilly Circus in London, nobody knows what to do until people read their message.

On a normal day, a young woman enters Picadilly Circus in London and begins to strip in the middle of the square in front of the public eye. Except for her black underwear, she carries nothing more. She ties a blindfold and lays a shield against her legs. The passing passers-by are irritated. Why do you do that? Why do you undress in the middle of the public eye?

The skepticism of the people, however, lies down when they read the sign written by Jae. The text on it makes it clear how much courage it must have cost this young woman to show herself in public. Jae message is strong.

"I stand here as representative of those who struggle with an eating disorder or have problems with their self-esteem - like me - put a heart on my body to support self-acceptance."

After Jae West is only stared at by the people around her, passers-by begin to take the pencils she holds from her hands and paint hearts all over her body. Jae was completely overwhelmed. She herself says about the moment when someone painted her first heart on her skin:

"Feeling the pen on my skin filled me with relief, gratitude and love, I started to cry, I do not know who that first person was, but I'm very thankful for her contribution."

Jae herself suffered from an eating disorder for years. She was incredibly afraid that the social experiment would fail and she could simply be laughed at. She could not have guessed that the message of a naked woman was so well received. But her fears were unfounded. She received a lot of positive feedback. She was told how brave she was and how great it was that she would do. For Jae, however, one situation was particularly moving: she could hear a father telling his children what she was doing there. He confirmed the importance of loving and accepting himself and his body as it is.

"It warms my heart to know that his children and others will grow up with the knowledge of how big the impact of this global problem is and how they feel they've contributed something because they put a heart on my body If everyone as a child would appreciate how beautiful he or she is, that world would certainly be different. "

Incidentally, the social experiment was staged and filmed by The Liberators International, to which Jae West belongs. The video was shared on Facebook less than a week ago and now has more than 3, 500 likes and has been shared more than 7, 000 times.
