At the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in spring / summer 2014
Blossoming floral patterns, exploding crystal embroidery, bursting tulle and silhouettes that pop - with delicate colors like powder, cream, off-white, old rose, fir green and pure black. Marcel Ostertag's "Fragile Explosion" collection really makes it to the 15th season anniversary. We talked to the designer shortly before his Spring / Summer 2014 show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.
"It's the first collection where I just say MEGA!", says Marcel Ostertag in an interview with Maxi.de.
Light summer materials such as jersey, silk and cotton together form a homogeneous look. In addition to wide caftans, silk tunics and blouses to slim skirts, light pants and shorts inspire elaborate crystal, stud and pearl embroidery.
"The first inspiration came from Marilyn Monroe, the fragile private person behind the movie star, so the feminine and soft moments of the collection come, " says Marcel Ostertag, "then I made a great flower print that really got me excited Once I'm in flow, I'll put it on paper quickly - I just needed a day for all 48 looks. "
The result was a light summer look that has sex appeal without showing too much skin. "The wearer should feel well and desirable and not look disguised, " says Marcel Ostertag.
Marcel Ostertag is designed for women from 14 to 80 years. "My customers have power and like to show their femininity, " says Marcel Ostertag. "You want to be beautiful and celebrate beauty too."
The right beauty look for this attitude is very natural and feminine. "Healthy lips and great skin, the eyes and eyelashes are more elaborate, " says Marcel Ostertag, "The hair is loosely tied to the bun, it should look as if the girls had made themselves."
