It's getting chubby! Here comes the DIY accessory parade made of cuddly wool!

Brrr! It's getting cold outside! Even in our apartments and houses, we are shivering through the winter again. Stop it!

For a warm, cuddly mood, accessories made of wonderfully soft wool. Whether cuddly blanket, pillow or hot water bottle - now we just need a little fluffy for the heart.

Here are woolly living companions to make your own!

Accessories made of wool: lanterns with woolen dress

You need: Wollstoff (department store), lanterns in different heights (eg Depot or Butlers), sewing machine and matching yarn, pillar candles, tape measure, fabric scissors

And this is how it works: 1. Cut wool fabric to the dimensions of the lantern.2. Place left on left and sew together with approx. 1 cm seam allowance.3. Turn right again and put over the glass.4. The unreinforced edges turn in at the top and bottom.

Wool accessories : old wool sweater pillows

What you need: 1 old turtleneck sweater with cuffed roll collarfilling pillowScissing needle and thread or sewing machine

Here's how it works: 1. Cut off the jumper and cut off the sleeves. Sew up sweater on 3 sides, leave turtleneck side open.2. Insert the pillow and close the sweater on the turtleneck seam.3. Card overhanging turtleneck over the pillow.

LOVE ADVICE Tip : Sew on and cut off the cut sleeves under the turtleneck.

Wool accessories : cap for jug

What you need: cap in mint, teapot, knitting needle, wool in mint and white or alternatively in lilac, pompom set, scissors

Here's how it works: 1. Carefully cut off the cap on both sides. So that later the spout and the handle look out.2. To prevent the openings from building up, trim the edges.3. For the pompom, wrap 2 semicircles of the pompom with wool according to the packing instructions.4. Put the wrapped halves together and cut the wool sideways with the scissors.5. Pass a double wool thread between the template sides and tie tightly together in the middle, so that the wool turns into a pompon.6. Remove the template parts and, if necessary, use the scissors to level the threads so that a uniform ball is created.7. Put the pompon on the top of the cap and sew on. Pull cap over the teapot.

LOVE ADVICE Tip : Pompoms can also be made on two cardboard templates with a hole in the middle.

Wool accessories: pouf in purple

What you need: Schachenmayr "Universa", 450 g in Indigo (Fb 151), 80-100 cm long round needle from Prym (No. 31 / 2-4)

Here's how it works: Stitch sample: In the basic pattern approx. 31 stitches and 24 rounds = 10 x 10 cm

Rib: 1 stitch on the right, 1 knit stitch on the left Knob edge: divide the stitches by 4. Cast on the stitches, then knit 1 round as follows: * 1 stitch on the right, 1 stitch on the left, 1 stitch on the right, then the pile from the following Knit 5 stitches (1 stitch on the right, 1 turn, 1 stitch on the right, 1 turn, 1 stitch on the right), turn, work 5 stitches on the right, turn 5 stitches on the left, 1 coat (1 stitch on the right, knit 1 stitch on the right and knit the lifted stitch), knit 1 stitch on the right, knit 2 stitches on the right, knit, knit 3 stitches on the left, repeat from * repeat.

Basic pattern: See knitting chart. Only the odd rounds are drawn; in the even rounds knit the stitches as they appear. Repeat knitting for the basic pattern after the 1st round (with increases) and 2nd round always repeat the 3rd through 14th rounds. Cast on 324 stitches for approx. 110 cm circumference and then knit the knobby edge in a ribbed pattern. Continue working in basic pattern at a height of 5 cm = 18x the repeat of 18 stitches or 19 stitches; after the first round there are 342 stitches on the needle. At a height of 45 cm, continue to knit in the cuff pattern, knitting 1x 2 stitches on each pigtail on the right = 324 stitches. Bind off all stitches at a height of 50 cm.

Completion: Stretch the part and let it dry under damp cloths.

Wool accessories: hot water bottle dress

You need: Schachenmayr / SMC Extra Merino (100% pure new wool, running length approx. 130m / 50g), 100g in cream pink, FB 00036, Milward needles No. 3-4 and approx. 1m matching satin ribbon.

And this is how it works: Cast on 88 stitches (22 stitches per needle) with a double pointed needles and close the round, knit 8 rounds on the right, 2 rounds in the ajour pattern, repeat 7 times until a height of about 30 cm is reached. Knit 8 more rounds in the rib pattern, then knit the 1 round of the ajour pattern for the hole row of the drawstring. Continue to knit in the cuff pattern until a total height of 37 cm is reached. Bind off the loops loosely, close the bottom in a stitch stitch. Pull the satin ribbon through the row of holes.

Accessories made of wool: stool cover

You need: brown wool (haberdashery), tailor's chalk, ruler, scissors, pins, sewing machine and matching yarn

And this is how it works: 1. Measure the stool. For the middle section, combine the seat plus two side panels into one long strip.2. Transfer long strips with the other two (small) side pieces with tailor's chalk to the fabric.3. Cut fabric pieces with the cloth scissors.4. Dress all edges in zigzag stitch.5. Mark the center of the long fabric part (middle part) .6. Also mark the side parts in the middle.7. Now sew the small pieces of fabric on the right and left sides of the large piece of fabric (right to right) so that a cross is created. Doing the middle markings.8. Close all side seams so that the cover is formed.9. Turn lower edge and hem.

You need: colorful rag, branched branch (ilex, snowberry), scissors

And this is how it works: 1. Wrap individual branches in different wool colors.2. Knot a wool thread around the branch and wrap it neatly.3. Knot the end, cut it short and put the thread end in the wrap.
