Most of us know it from our childhood: "Fox, you stole the goose, give it back ...". The song is one of 33 songs from the repertoire of the Rathaus-Glockenspiel in Limburg, in which seasonally alternating nursery rhymes with a carillon sound. The harmless nursery rhyme, as one might say, now provided a vegan reason for complaint. The woman was so disturbed by the lines "Otherwise the hunter will fetch you, with the shooting rifle ...", which she proceeded successfully against the carillon.
Because the vegan animal rights activist was too heavy on the song and she regularly heard it at her place opposite the town hall, it was now dropped out of the program. The mayor wanted to meet the vegan and respect their feelings. In doing so, he generously overlooked the fact that in the glockenspiel the lyrics of the song do not sound at all and thus one would not actually have to disturb the stanza.
