A tough crackdown by the Italian government will leave many vaccination opponents in Germany speechless. Because while vaccination is still voluntary here in Germany, there is now a law in Italy for compulsory vaccination.

This is a total of 12 vaccinations. including:

  • measles
  • Meningitis
  • tetanus
  • poliomyelitis
  • mumps
  • whooping cough
  • chickenpox

Those who do not stick to the vaccination schedule will have bad cards in the future when it comes to registering the child in a crèche, nursery or preschool. Because here the vaccinations are checked in all children. "The parents of school-age children from six years who are not vaccinated, must pay high fines, " writes the Deutsches Ärzteblatt.

Above all, a high number of measles diseases, which had spread in Italy, caused the Italian government to pass the law as soon as possible.

There is no compulsory vaccination in Germany. Nevertheless, this is always in conversation. Because even here, the numbers of measles or whooping cough rise, because many parents do not let their children vaccinated. In some cases this can even be fatal.
