In the process, one or the other look is thoroughly recycled. On Christmas Day in 2013, Kate Middleton wore a blue and green plaid dress designed by Alexander McQueen, which she was already wearing for a visit to her alma mater in St. Andrews in 2013. Her chocolate-brown Orla Kiely dress with bird pattern was also used for the second time in November 2013.

Even at the baptism of her son Prince George, Kate took Middleton to a coat dress. The ivory design with ruffles on the lapel came from Alexander McQueen. For a boat christening in June 2013, the wife of Prince William wore a combo outfit with a black and white Dalmatian print and at a gig in Scotland in April, the choice fell on a coat dress in white and blue plaid.
