At the 40th American Music Awards on November 18, 2012 in Los Angeles Justin Bieber shone on the stage and won three awards, but on the red carpet stole him the many female stars in their gold and silver evening gowns the show. Because unofficial motto of the evening was probably: "Who has the most beautiful glittering dress in the whole country?"

So Heidi Klum and Taylor Swift came in gold, while Hayden Pannettiere, Ginnifer Godwin and Stacey Keibler shone in silver. At the skirt length, however, the ladies present were not so united. From short and short to glamorous long and sexy slit everything was included. One was missing on Sunday evening: Selena Gomez. Justin Bieber's ex probably stayed away from the pain of separation.

The singer nevertheless had a good laugh: on stage there were three awards for him, among others he was awarded Artist of the Year. And on the red carpet Mama Pattie Malette strengthened his back - and put with her burgundy dress one of the few splashes of color.
