These news should not make fashion bloggers happy ...

The end of an internet hype

While blogs were almost a rarity in the past, nowadays anyone who publishes articles on the Internet knows each other. Especially fashion blogs are a dime a dozen - but are they still interested in who?

Not only the seemingly endless competition makes it more and more difficult for fashion bloggers to reach a large audience, apparently also the reader interest in pure fashion topics has fallen dramatically. A recent Herblog survey of 1, 500 women recently revealed that the majority of respondents are interested in just about any type of blog - just not for fashion blogs .

The clear winners in the female readership were food blogs with a share of 75%. Immediately thereafter followed health and "Do it yourself" contributions in the favor of the readers. Only 52% read according to own data like style posts. Somehow logical, after all, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the large number of fashion bloggers to produce truly individual content. Food and DIY topics already offer more scope for differentiation.

Incidentally, this development would also be an explanation for the growing number of well-known fashion bloggers: Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere, as well as Man Repeller Leandra Medine, have long been dealing with furnishing and food topics.
