Everything at hand

A knife holder does not have to be expensive. From a wooden board, kitchen magnets and a few other utensils, we quickly make this cool model.

You need this for the knife holder:

  • 8 magnets (craft shop)
  • Spray paint (eg mtn-shop.de, 3, 75 €)
  • Wooden board (department store, approx. 10 €)
  • masking tape
  • acrylic paint
  • 2 screws (if necessary dowels for the wall)
  • Hot glue gun and hot glue
  • brush
  • cordless drill
  • pencil
  • ruler
  • Paper for the work surface

And that's how easy it is:

1. Spray the magnets in the desired color and let them dry well.

2. Cover the board with the painter's crepe and paint with the acrylic paint.

3. After drying the paint, use the ruler to mark 8 points for the magnets at regular intervals.

4. Depending on the condition of the wall, hang the board on the wall with two screws, drilling through two of the points just marked.

5. Now glue the magnets to the dots with the hot glue. Always press firmly until the glue is hard.
