How much punk do designer evening dresses need to look really cool and not weird? The motto of this year's Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Met Meta for short, put stars like Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lawrence or Kristen Stewart to the test. It read: "PUNK: Chaos To Couture", so it dealt with the influence of punk fashion on the designers.

Anne Hathaway, Miranda Kerr or Taylor Swift interpreted the punk motto in a rather classic way and turned up in lascivious black side-boob and side-butt evening gowns. A trace too uninspired for our taste, even though Anne Hathaway returned with her new blonde hair color her punk nature to the outside. Incidentally, a small trend at this year's Met-Ball, because even Nicole Richie had dyed her hair fresh for the gala evening: in gray!

Katy Perry, who literally crowned her outfit, liked us better. Or Jessica Biel and Beyoncé, pimping their designer evening dresses with hot fishnet stockings or sexy overknee boots. Fully meshed came Miley Cyrus - but at the latest since her move to short hairstyle, we know that had always dormant in her a small punk.
