What you need for the bread basket:
- 1 roll of yarn Zpagetti 120 m (about 9 € / roll; from www.zpagetti.de)
- Crochet hook, thickness 10 mm
- colored ribbon
- scissors
And this is how it's done:
Bottom of the basket:
1. Crochet an initial loop and then a chain of 10 pieces of air. Crochet the first row with fixed stitches in this warp (through both threads sting for a firm ground).
2. Crochet 3 solid stitches into the last stitch so they will automatically arrive on the other side of the chain.
3. Continue crocheting with tight stitches on the other side of the chain.
4. Now crochet four times, always adding two stitches at the sides. The floor is finished when it reaches a length of about 28 cm and a width of about 15 cm.
Bread basket border:
5. Now crochet two rows without increasing. As a result, the edge goes up. Always pierce through the back stitch and not through both stitches.
6. Crochet in the third row: a tight stitch, then fold a stitch and crochet a tight stitch into the third stitch. Then back into the second stitch (where you created an opening because a stitch was rolled over).
7. Crochet a tight stitch in the fifth stitch (roll over the fourth stitch) and then crochet into the fourth stitch (which you just rolled over). Then crochet into the seventh stitch (roll over stitch six) etc. etc. In this way (roll over and back off), crochet the entire row all around. This gives the basket a beautiful decorative edge.
8. Crochet two rows of warp-knit stitches, one backward / turn-over one row and another two rows of fixed stitches. Up to a height of about 18 centimeters.
9. Finally, draw a colored ribbon through the bread basket.
