When politicians go to the stadium, that is actually more a duty than a pleasure. But Angela Merkel has found more and more fun in football over the years.
No question: We are a football crazy people. At least when every two years the big tournaments Europe and World Cup are pending, hardly anyone can escape the football fever. Even Chancellor Angela Merkel is a true sports fanatic and tries to follow as many matches of the national team as possible live in the stadium . We look back on their cheers, cheers and outfits.

In 2006 alone she was in seven matches at the stadium, seeing six wins and 17 goals! The only defeat came when she wore a green top .
Also at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil we could already see "Mommy" cheering. In the game against Portugal Merkel was in the stadium. Did we only win 4-0 thanks to her active support? If this should really work with the World Cup title this time and it allows her schedule, then Angela Merkel may like to keep the fingers crossed for the team of Jogi Löw in every game from the stands!
