A new lamp can quickly change the look of the whole apartment, but instead of buying a copy, we prefer pimping our old models!

You need this for the lampshade:

  • Lampshade with dark outside
  • Grit paper with medium grain size
  • Acrylic paint in gold (craft shop)
  • Spray adhesive (craft shop)
  • Goldglitzer (craft shop)
  • brush
  • Paper for the work surface

And that's how easy it is:

1. If the inside of the lampshade has a smooth surface (eg made of plastic), roughen it with sandpaper.

2. Paint the inside surface in gold. Let dry.

3. Spray the inside surface with spray glue and let the gold glitter trickle over it.

4. Lightly move the shade back and forth to allow the glitter to spread well.

5. Finally, spray another layer of spray glue on it and let it dry. Shake off loose glitter before mounting the lampshade.
