Worry in Belgium
Prince Laurent of Belgium (50) is in the hospital. As previously reported, he had to be admitted to the University Hospital Saint-Luc à Woluwe-Saint-Lambert with severe pneumonia. In the meantime his condition had deteriorated so dramatically that the doctors put him into an artificial coma .
So it's worse than expected. While court spokesman Pierre-Emmanuel de Bauw initially sealed off and spoke only of "total exhaustion" in Laurent, it has now been confirmed that the condition of the patient is quite serious. King Philippe was already at his brother's bedside. Laurent's wife Claire was also seen entering the clinic to rush to her husband and talk to the doctors.
Nevertheless, in the Belgian media, the rumor continues that Laurent and Claire's marriage are in ruins. Even the word "divorce" has repeatedly appeared in the Brussels press.
