How is lime used as a deodorant?
Almost all of us in the kitchen have this natural wonder drug - it's called lime . The juice of the citrus fruit actually acts like a natural deodorant. To apply the lime can either easily cut in half and rub after showering under the armpits, or squeeze the juice and apply with a cotton pad. The fruit not only ensures a dry skin feeling, but donates the day a fresh scent. Attention: Lime should not be used directly after shaving as a deodorant, as the acid contained can be irritating to the skin.

But how does the deodorant replacement work? Limes naturally act against unpleasant odors. The stinging smell of sweat actually only arises through bacteria - they do not even settle because of the fruit acid, because it changes the pH of the skin. In addition, limes have a pore-closing effect. With this combination, the citrus fruit actually acts like a traditional deodorant - without any harmful additives.
Attention: In the summer you should still prefer to use traditional products. Lime juice combined with sunlight can cause dangerous skin rashes. It comes to a phototoxic reaction, which is not only painful, but also highly damaging to the skin. The natural deodorant replacement should therefore only be used in winter, if it is ensured that the skin has no contact with sunlight.
