Photo project: What is beautiful and what is ugly?
Are there beautiful people and ugly people? No, there are only moments when we look beautiful and others where we look rather unfavorable.
Photographer Gracie Hagen has illustrated this in a brilliant photo project.
Actually, we all realize that even the most beautiful model wakes up with dark circles and messy hair. And that it owes its flawless skin on images rather Photoshop than good genes. Nevertheless, we are in raptures and want to look exactly like that. Why?
"We never see the images in comparison to another image of the same person on whom they look unfavorable, " says US photographer Gracie Hagen. "Under certain conditions, people can look extremely attractive and turn into something completely different two seconds later." To prove that nobody is just beautiful or ugly, she started the series "Illusions of the Body".

The realization: "Under certain conditions, people can look extremely attractive and turn into something completely different two seconds later." So each of us has an attractive and an unattractive side to ourselves. Sometimes, what we show depends simply on the right light, angle, or posture.
