When cooking and baking, we need everything quickly at hand. This kitchen utensil silo provides the perfect support. Here is the sewing instructions.

That's what you need for the kitchen utensil silo:

  • Various striped fabrics
  • Roundwood, thickness 7 mm, 1 m length (hardware store)
  • 20 x 20 cm fleece-o-fix (haberdashery)
  • Sewing machine and color matching Garrn
  • French chalk
  • tape measure
  • pins
  • fabric scissors
  • ruler
  • saw
  • hammer
  • Creative template
  • printer
  • paper
  • pencil
  • Iron

And that's how easy it is:

1. Cut the different striped fabrics into the following rectangles: 42 x 80 cm, 23 x 35 cm, 23 x 28 cm and 10 x 16 cm.

2. Use the largest piece of fabric as a base. Press the lower longitudinal edge 5 cm, insert the seam allowance 1 cm and stitch the seams with a short edge so that a "tunnel" is created for the roundwood.

3. Swing the narrow sides and the upper side 2 cm, insert the seam allowance 1 cm and topstitch with a short edge

4. Wrap the remaining pieces of fabric 2 cm, fold in the seam allowance 1 cm and topstitch with a square edging.

5. Sew 10 x 16 cm "cloth bags" onto the 23 x 28 cm piece of fabric.

6. Sew the "big" bag sewn together at a distance of 5.5 cm to the side and bottom edge of the base fabric.

7. At a distance of 5.5 cm to the sewn-on bag, sew on the last piece of fabric.

8. Divide this piece into pockets of different sizes as you like. Sew with a simple lockstitch.

9. Saw logs to 80 cm in length and push into the sewn "tunnel".

10. To hang the utensil, hammer 2 eyelets into the upper corners.

Anchor :

1. Iron fleece-o-fix on the back of the fabric.

2. Print the motif template.

3. Cut down the anchor motif to approx. 8 x 8 cm and 6 x 6 cm, cut it out and draw it in pencil on the Vliesofix.

4. Cut the motif with the cloth scissors.

5. Remove the backing paper from the fleece-o-fix and iron the anchor at the desired place on the bag.
