Karin Thaler on a family vacation with her niece: "Never depend on a man!

She gave her nieces good advice

Off to the snow was Karin Thaler and her nieces Julia (17) and Janina (9). They made a fun family vacation at the Hotel Kaiserhof in Ellmau at the Wilder Kaiser (Tyrol). The TV star had a special advice ready ...

Do you often do a family vacation for three? Karin Thaler: Yes. Above all, we like to go shopping together. Before every birthday of my nieces and before Christmas we start together. Then they choose something beautiful.

Are you a generous aunt? Karin Thaler: I think so. And the two know that too (laughs).

You are very close to your nieces ... Karin Thaler: Yes, we have a great relationship of trust. They find me really cool in contrast to their mother. But that's usually the case: the mothers are embarrassing and the aunts are cool. Plus, they think it's great that I'm an actress by profession.

Are you a role model for Janina and Julia? Karin Thaler: I believe that my life model is generally a role model for her. I also advised my older niece to go his own way and never depend on a man! Self-employment is more important today than it was 20 years ago. But she sees it the same way.

What advice did you give her? Karin Thaler: She should learn a profession and in no case have children early. But Julia is also reasonable. She wants to build something and make a career before she thinks of a husband and family.

Have you never had a wish for a child? Karin Thaler : No, not really. I never had a mother wish. I have never missed having no children of my own. I always used to say that I wanted children because that's part of it, too.

How does your husband see this? Karin Thaler: He sees it just like me. We both do not miss anything. Our partnership is enough for us.

What are the benefits of living without children? Karin Thaler: We can sleep as long as we want. My husband is a musician, and therefore has a completely different sleep rhythm, which I adapt to in my free time. In addition, we like to be spontaneous. Sometimes we travel for three or four days at short notice. That would not be possible with a small child. I would also know of myself, if I had a child, then it would have the highest priority in my life - everything else would be behind. And I do not want that.
