As always, the Duchess Catherine looked perfectly styled on her recent appearance in Stoke-on-Trent, England, with just one detail - her gray approach.
Carelessness? Of course not! The reason why the 33-year-old refrained from dyeing hair may be different. Because: Duchess Catherine is pregnant, the second child is to be born at the end of April. Therefore, does the Royal refrain from coloring? After all, it is said that dyeing hair is dangerous during pregnancy. Is there anything there?
Hair dyeing in pregnancy: Dangerous or not?
Harmful ammonia from hair dyes can enter the blood through the scalp. These chemicals from dyes are suspected to be harmful to unborn babies and infants. Across the scalp, they enter the body and thus the baby. But the fact is: Most hair dyes today contain almost no ammonia at all.
Doctors recommend to abstain from dyeing in the first three months. Even if no disadvantages for the unborn child have been proven, you better play it safe. Otherwise: You can color or tint your hair with the usual product. However, you should not try anything new. Although allergic reactions are rare, they are difficult to treat during pregnancy.
Gray hair in its early 30s: why is it?
Already in her first pregnancy with Baby George, Duchess Kate showed gray hair. Back then she was only 30. Why do some women graze earlier than others? When the formation of the hair dye melanin subsides, the hair on the head and body (eg eyebrows) appears gray. If no dye is formed, it turns white. This is due to the hormonal balance in the body, which changes with age, the genetic predisposition or stress.
Prevent? Not possible. Graying is hereditary. Some become gray at age 20, others at age 50. However, extreme stress situations and illnesses can also cause gray hair earlier - hence the old saying: turning gray overnight. Graying or welding can not be reversed.
