The new mulled wine recipes have something for every taste

On cold days we like to be warmed by a delicious mulled wine. It does not always have to be on the Christmas market, because it also tastes homemade at home or on the balcony. Our 6 new recipes have something for every taste!

If you do not like the classic mulled wine, or if you are looking for a change from the classic mulled wine, you will definitely find a recipe that suits you. But one thing you should be aware of when preparing: Do not let the mulled wine cook! Otherwise the flavors will be lost and it is even assumed that carcinogenic substances will be released.

Ideal companions to mulled wine are stollen and cookies.

Make mulled wine spice yourself: It's that easy

Mandarin mulled wine

Ingredients (6 glasses)

1 bottle of white wine, 1 t of mandarin juice, 2 cups of orange juice, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 bag of vanilla sugar, 2 tangerines


Warm the white wine together with the tangerine and orange juice in the pot, add the vanilla sugar and cinnamon stick and let it steep. Remove the tangerine skin and add the mandarin pieces to the finished mulled wine.

Bright cinnamon mulled wine

Ingredients (4 glasses)

30 g fresh ginger, 1 organic orange, 600 ml white wine, 400 ml strong apple tea, 1 apple, 50 ml brown rum, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 pinch of cinnamon


Peel and slice ginger. Wash orange, rub dry and slice. Put the wine, tea, rum, orange and ginger slices with honey, cinnamon sticks and cinnamon in a saucepan and heat slowly. Slice the apple and put it in the mulled wine.

Pomegranate mulled wine

Ingredients (4 glasses)

0, 7 L dry red wine, 6-7 tablespoons pomegranate syrup, bowl of 1 organic orange, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick


Heat red wine, syrup, orange peel, cloves and cinnamon sticks in the pot and leave to stand for about 10 minutes.

White vanilla mulled wine


1 L white wine, 1 cup orange juice, 1 apple, 1 teaspoon cloves, 2 star anise, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 tbsp gingerbread spice, 1 vanilla pod, 2 tbsp goji berries (or dried cranberries), 3-4 tbsp sugar or honey


Heat white wine with orange juice in a saucepan, put the spices in a paper filter and put in a saucepan. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add and season with sugar. Let it rest for 30 minutes. Add the goji berries to the finished mulled wine.

By the way: The healthy goji berries are available in the health food store or health food store.

Lemongrass mulled wine

Ingredients (4 glasses)

2 organic oranges, 3 stalks lemon grass, 1 cinnamon stick, 750 ml dry white wine, 2 cups orange juice, 5-6 tablespoons sugar, 50 ml orange liqueur


Wash the oranges and cut into small pieces with the peel. Remove the outer leaves from the lemongrass and use the lower 15 cm. Halve the piece and crush it in a mortar. Heat together with the remaining ingredients in the pot for about 15 minutes. Sift the mulled wine and divide it into glasses.

Cranberry mulled wine


500 ml dry red wine, 500 ml cranberry juice, 80 ml orange liqueur, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 apple, possibly fresh cranberries


Heat red wine, cranberry juice, orange liqueur and cinnamon sticks for 6-8 minutes. Wash the apple, core it cores and cut it into slices and leave it in the mulled wine.
